Memorial’s goal is continuous improvement and meeting that will lead to an environment where high academic achievement is the norm. Students develop productive habits of mind, a love of learning, and social responsibility. We have both a Student Council and a Principal’s Student Advisory Committee to ensure students have a voice in the things that affect their daily lives at school. We offer a wide variety of extracurricular activities such as Flag Football, Ski Club, Intramural basketball, an Art Club, Roller Hockey, the Crocker Relays and much more. Memorial’s students also participate on city-wide middle school teams, in sports such as Football, Basketball, Field Hockey, Cross Country and Track. We have traditionally offered overnight, experiential learning opportunities, like Nature’s Classroom, the Cape Cod Trip and the Washington DC trip, and put on Talent Shows, concerts and plays. We do this to ensure our student develop physically, socially and emotionally as well as academically. The role of a middle school is to assist in the development of the whole child, and Memorial takes that responsibility very seriously.
